Valentine’s Day Beer Pairing

Enjoy a 3 Course, fixed price dinner, each course paired with some of the rarest and most unique beers in the world.

This event is for everyone—couples, singles or groups. A  seasonally-inspired dinner will be paired with vintage, aged, and hard to get Belgian brews with German dishes that promise to expand what you love and know about German food.

STARTERS: (each starter paired with a smooth Bavik Pilsner)

Gerkin Sashimi with Creme Fraiche Caviar and Starflower Garnish

Thin sliced cucumber pickled in a sweet and sour vinegar, creme fraiche molecularized, garnished with borage

Flädlesuppe in a Vegetable Consommé (vegetarian)

Clairified mushroom stock with rye flour crepes and fresh chives garnish

Schweinshaxe Dumplings & Honey-Dusseldorf Dipping Sauce

Slow roasted pork knuckles, wrapped in wonton wrappers, deep fried, spicy & sweet german mustard sauce

MAINS:

Roasted Duck, Turkish Figs & Porto (paired with Monk’s Café Grand Cru)
Rosemary, ginger, figs, ruby wine, half duck roasted, served with kartoffelklöße (potato dumplings) and sauteed spinach

Rib Eye Steak and Riesling Butter (paired with Gulden Draak Imperial Stout)

Ohio beef, grilled, house made butter with added german white wine and shallots, served with käsespätzle and sauteed spinach

Sweet & Savory Knödel  (paired with Flensburger Dunkel)

Sweet gala apple pretzel dumplings, savory spinach potato dumplings, on a bed of creamed-nutmeg kraut, and side of maple roasted carrots

German chocolate cake, hazelnut flour, dark chocolate (GF)

Cream Puff (paired with Petrus Sour Framboise)
Puff pastry, chocolate ganache sauce, house custard filling
