Cleveland Beer Brunch

Sunday, November 27th at 12pm

Der Braumeister Restaurant & Merchant du Vin bring brunch and a taste of European brews to Cleveland on Sunday, November 27th, at 12 pm just in time for the holidays. Ticket purchase includes four beers, four paired brunch bites, and feel free to stick around after the beer pairing brunch for football and more beer. Guests will also take home authentic Pinkus and Ayinger glassware as a gift.

  • Reception beer & small bite: Ayinger Brewery, at the foot of the Bavarian Alps, is one of the world’s most respected breweries. As a family-owned business, we love that Ayinger has been family-owned & operated since 1878. We open our brunch with Ayinger’s Brauweisse, a Wheat ale with a spicy, crisp, unfiltered taste. Enjoy this beer with a banana crepe bite.
  • Course 1: Pinkus Münster Alt draught by Brauerei Pinkus Müller is a Amber-Red Altbier Ale. Pinkus is still owned and operated by the original family. It also became the first all-organic brewery. The Altbier is a well-rounded brew with citrus notes, slightly malt, and a clean finish. A sharp white cheddar cheese souffle will add a unique pairing and a grilled beer brat side with grain mustard gives beer drinkers a classic altbier pairing.
  • Course 2: Westmalle Dubbel. What’s a taste of Europe without a sip of beer from Belgium? The Trappist beers brewed at Westmalle Abbey are famous around the world. The Westmalle Dubbel was the first brewed for sale within the Westmalle Abbey around 1836. The flavor is rich and complex, herby and fruity with a fresh bitter finish. Pairing this beer with a charcuterie plate of gruyere cheese, Bayonne ham, dried apricots, and toasted rye points plays off the herbed and fruity bitterness taste in this Belgian classic.
  • Course 3: Our last pairing ends with bottle pours of Traquair Jacobite Ale, a Scotch ale with coriander and ancient ingredients revealing rich, deep flavors accented by a coriander aroma. Our last course is a bread pudding with caramel drizzle.
